Heroes

Children need heroes or examples to follow. We would hope that the objective of all school systems would be to expose children to the virtues of the heroes of all cultures, especially those who supported and worked for a free and equal education for all children. Children are people too and they need hope. Hopefully the names that brand the buildings in the Englewood Public School district nurtures this sense of hope in the hearts and minds of our children.

Computers as Test Administrators

In spring 2015, third graders in New Jersey took the PARCC online Assessment. Go to this page for Parent and Student Resources.

For Your Own Success at home.
Typing or keying in information or Data Entry should
not stand in the way of your child's success on PARCC
or any other online test.

Students must learn to type with all 10 fingers
without looking at the keys. Use one of the many online sites or software to practice.

Students must learn to identify all keys on the board
Students must learn to master the function of each of those keys.

Students must learn to type with speed and accuracy. Make sure that your School District is teaching your child data entry. How many words do you type in 1 minute without errors?

Using the computer keyboard must become as familiar as using a pencil or pen.
